ESOL courses
ESOL courses are for the non-native speakers of English language who wish to live and work in the UK. Life in the UK can be hard, and not being able to speak the language could sometimes add to the misery. It’s therefore recommended that if English is not your first language should get yourself enrolled on one of the ESOL courses.Doing an ESOL course would not only make your life in the UK easier, but could also increase your chances of being employed
A generic ESOL course usually consists of the following components:
· Speaking Skills· Listening Skills
· Reading & Writing Skills
· Vocabulary
· Grammar and Punctuation
The ESOL package consists of three kinds of courses:
· ESOL (Work)· ESOL (Skills for Life)
· ESOL (Citizenship)
Levels
Beginner: Can only communicate in basic and simple English and more comfortable performing manual jobs which do not require use of written or spoken EnglishElementary: Can comprehend and communicate in slightly complex English. Can pull-off jobs involving very little use of Basic English (Written and Spoken)
Intermediate: Effective and efficient processing of relatively complex speech sentences. Can produce a professional piece of writing in form of a report or a presentation
Advanced: More fluent and spontaneous at communicating and interacting with others – in both professional as well as social settings.
