Course Description

This course is for people aged 19+ who wish to further their studies and gain more knowledge in a Business related subject. Students gain skills and confidence which are necessary for success in Higher Education and in Employment. It will help prepare learners for progression within education or into employment in the Business sector.

Entry into a Level 4 programme
Entry into Higher education i.e. University
Management Trainee in Business
Marketing
Business Administration

You will study a range of units in this course, some of these include:

Principles of Business
Business Communication
Principles of Administration
Training in the Business workplace

You will also develop your IT skills

How Will I Be Assessed?

Assessment is through a combination of portfolios and assignments.

Assistance will be provided through mentoring and tutorials in class sessions.

Duration Of The Course

The duration of this course is 4 months and you will be required to attend classes two days per week.

You will also have the option to do a 58 credit course with distant learning

Changes in English Language Requirement for Settlement and Citizenship

The Home Office has officially announced changes in the English Language requirements for those applying for Settlement in the UK and British Citizenship. As of 28/10/2013 before applying for any of the categories stated you will have to pass the Life in The UK Test and also pass an English language test in Speaking and Listening at B1 level (ESOL entry level 3 equivalent).

Changes to \'Knowledge of Language and Life\' Requirements

Official changes have been announced by the Home Office for those applying for Settlement in the UK and British Citizenship. For either applications you will need to meet the knowledge of language and Life requirements after 5th November 2015 by:

- Passing the Life in the UK Test and
- Having a Speaking and Listening qualification in English at B1 level (Home Office approved test centre)
